Read and log falconry data from a script or an AI assistant.
FalconryScale has a public API for reading and logging falconry data, raptors, weigh-ins, activities, health records and alerts, on behalf of a signed-in FalconryScale user. It's built for scripts and for AI assistants that connect over MCP, so an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT can answer questions about your birds or log a weigh-in for you.
There are two ways in:
- The REST API (
/api/v1), a plain HTTP API you call from a script or server. See REST API. - The MCP server (
/mcp), for AI assistants that speak the Model Context Protocol, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others. See Connecting an AI assistant.
Both read from the same account data and the same permission scopes, and both are generated from the same operation list, so a call that works on one works the same way on the other.
Quick start
Create an API key. Sign in to the web app and open Settings → Developer. Tap Create key, give it a name, and choose Read or Read and write access. See API keys.
Copy the secret. FalconryScale shows it once, right after creation. Copy it somewhere safe, you won't be able to see it again.
Call the API. Send it as a bearer token:
curl https://app.falconryscale.com/api/v1/raptors \
-H "Authorization: Bearer <your-api-key>"That returns your roster of raptors as JSON.
What's in here
- API keys, creating, viewing and revoking keys from Settings → Developer.
- OAuth, the main way to connect an AI assistant: sign in and approve, no key to copy.
- REST API, the full list of endpoints, grouped by resource.
- Connecting an AI assistant, setup steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and Claude Code.
- Errors and rate limits, the error format, status codes and request limits.
- API reference, the generated, complete schema for every endpoint.
